Meet the the creators of the Aritco DesignWalls. In a series of posts, we ask each of them the same three questions.

Here you will meet the Aritco head designer Alexander Lervik. Alexander has a background of more than 20 years as a product designer, with exhibitions in Sweden and other countries. In addition to designing the Aritco HomeLift, he is the creator of three of the design walls, including the second-most popular one. Can you guess which one that is?

“For Orientalic, I studied books with Persian patterns. The Diagonal design wall is a completely different expression. Here, I was inspired by studying different patterns in ceilings and facades.”

Of all the options  that customers can choose for a background in their home lift, Alexander’s “Orientalic” is the second-most popular. It’s especially popular in the Middle East.

“For Geometric me and Evelina Kroon have done a collaboration. The pattern flirts with retro designs for products such as wallpaper, countertops, etc”

“Creating good products requires a large number of professions where everyone contributes part of the result. Design is one part of “the bigger picture.” A product that has not been designed by a professional designer doesn’t have the same basis for success. The best results come about when the designer is involved from the start and has the opportunity to influence the entire product, not just the surface.”
