Meet the creators of the nine Aritco DesignWalls. In a series of posts, we ask each of them three questions. Interview series with the creators of Aritco DesignWalls.

Lotta Ingman is an artist who lives and works in Vichtis, Finland. Her works are represented in Wihuri´s collections, Pro Artibus collections and the State art collection, and she has had numerous exhibitions. Lotta has created the two most colorful design walls. Is your favorite color pink or orange?

“I work with colors. I use complementary colors and different ways of working with them so that the surface of the color can be either opaque or transparent. I add and remove paint with different kinds of tools and techniques. It can be a brush stroke or a scraping gesture that works as contrast for these different surfaces. In this way, different kinds of expressions arise and the color can be experienced in different ways. The contrasts produce something like movement or rhythm in the painting.”
