Aritco Highlights Connection and Customisation at Design Shanghai 2025

Design Shanghai remains one of the world’s most prestigious international design events and Asia’s leading platform for contemporary design. With over 76,000 professional visitors and 600 expertly curated pieces from more than 30 countries and regions, the exhibition brought together the latest in global trends, designs, and creative thinking.

At this year’s Design Shanghai, Aritco offered a perspective on the future of living where thoughtful design, sustainable innovation, and everyday functionality come together in a beautifully integrated way.

For this year’s event, Aritco introduced a refreshed exhibition concept designed to highlight personal connection and the flexibility of choice. Two Aritco HomeLifts were on display – an S8, the size typically shown at exhibitions, and the larger S12 model.

Each lift featured one of Aritco’s distinctive design concepts – Berlin and Stockholm – offering visitors a clear view of how the lift can be customized to suit different interiors and personal styles.

To create a welcoming experience and foster deeper connection with visitors, the stand featured a partially enclosed lounge area with wood and glass elements, offering visitors a chance to pause, enjoy a coffee, and engage in deeper conversations. “It was a lot more exclusive in the way that we invited people in,” explained Ida Lindvall, Global Sales & Marketing Director at Aritco. “We got the chance to discuss with developers, designers and architects in this kind of intimate area.”

This year also marked a special milestone: Aritco’s 30th anniversary. CEO Jonas Sjödahl welcomed guests to a small celebration. The moment served not only as a reflection on Aritco’s journey, but as a chance to look ahead with continued investment in design, technology, and sustainable thinking.

Aritco’s exclusive partner in China, Longtron, was also present at the exhibition. “For us, it was really important to attend together with them, to really cement and showcase our strong partnership,” Ida said.

Sustainability was a recurring theme throughout Design Shanghai, with nearly every exhibitor exploring how the design world can contribute to a more responsible future. Aritco took part in a dedicated sustainability talk alongside two local designers, sharing perspectives on how thoughtful material choices and product development can shape more conscious living spaces. “They both showed how they think about sustainability in their designs. One of them actually presented a project that incorporated an Aritco lift,” said Ida.

During the talk, Aritco also introduced its first-ever sustainability report and highlighted a recent technical update to the Aritco Access range of lifts rolled out across several markets that reduces energy consumption by 30%.

Throughout the event, the Aritco stand sparked conversations both on-site and online, with many visitors sharing photos and impressions across their own channels. From the lift design itself to the calm, curated atmosphere of the space, the response reflected growing interest in home mobility solutions that are both functional and design-led.
