Custom by Design: How Aritco Lets You Control the Price of Your Home Lift

How much a home lift costs comes down to key factors like model, design, and installation – all choices you can control.

When people begin exploring the idea of adding a home lift, one of the first questions is often about cost. Just like any renovation, the total price depends on the model, materials, and design details you select. What makes Aritco different is the level of freedom you have. Think of it like building your ideal car: you start with a strong, high-quality foundation, then add the details that matter most to you.

As the most customizable home lift on the market, almost every element can be tailored to match your needs, your space, and your budget. From finishes to functionality, you’re the one in control.

To learn more about how homeowners can influence the price of their Aritco home lift, we spoke with Jonas Allberg, Key Account Manager Nordic at Aritco.

Start with the model that fits your home

“The biggest price difference usually comes down to which model you choose and how many floors it serves,” says Jonas. “For most people, the Aritco HomeLift or Aritco HomeLift Compact fits perfectly, while the Aritco HomeLift Access is mainly for customers who need more space for wheelchairs.”

The Aritco HomeLift Compact offers high performance in a smaller footprint, ideal for apartments or limited spaces. The Aritco HomeLift provides more room and design flexibility for larger homes. For those needing additional space or accessibility, the Aritco HomeLift Access accommodates wheelchairs and mobility aids with ease.

These options mean that you can select exactly what suits your home – and your budget.

Installation and building conditions

The structure of your home also plays a role, but even here there’s flexibility. New builds are the simplest and most cost-efficient to prepare, since the lift can be integrated into the design from the start.

For existing homes, some light construction may be needed – such as creating floor openings or a shallow recess of about five centimetres so the lift sits level with the floor. “Existing homes may require some adaptations, but installation itself is quick – usually around two days for a two-floor lift once the space is ready,” Jonas explains.

He adds that the lift components are designed for easy transport into almost any home environment. “They can be brought in through normal doors or even central lifts in penthouse apartments, so there’s no need for cranes or special access,” Jonas says.

Design choices that define style and cost

An Aritco home lift is more than a mobility solution; it’s a design feature that reflects the principles of Scandinavian design – simplicity, functionality, and beauty. Each lift can be personalized to match your home’s architecture and aesthetic.

“We have around seven or eight standard colors at no extra cost,” Jonas says. “If you choose custom colors, glass walls, or a DesignWall, that will add some cost.”

While design options can influence the residential lift price, they also make each installation a true reflection of personal style. Whether you prefer a clean, minimal look or something that stands out, you can balance design ambition with practical budgeting.

Smart and functional features

Every Aritco home lift includes smart technology as standard. “The SmartLift app is included,” Jonas notes. “You can change the lighting, lock the lift, and monitor its status. It’s quite fun if you’re into that kind of thing.”

Optional features such as an emergency phone or external call stations can be added, though Jonas points out that these “add a little to the price, but not much.”

Making the investment your own

An Aritco home lift offers daily comfort, future-proofing, and lasting value. As Jonas puts it, “It gives you long-term independence, increases property value, and adds something beautiful to your home.”

With Aritco, you have the freedom to design a lift that fits your lifestyle, your budget, and your home – a thoughtful balance of design, value, and control that makes it a truly personal investment.
